Overnight Sanitation worker Jobs in Manitoba

One year experience in a food manufacturing facility is an asset.

Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, Allergen Control Program is an asset.

Days (11 am- 7:30 pm)

Wiping tables and washing machine parts and utensils

Cleaning bathrooms and sweeping floors

Work efficiently to meet daily schedules and targets.

Good analytical, time management and organisational skills.

Build rapport with each client to enable them to meet the daily requirements of their housing environment and a healthy lifestyle.

Assist residents with physical disabilities or chronic illnesses by providing care in their daily activities.

Experience working with the client population.

Knowledge of issues faced by vulnerable adults with special needs, which will include: addictions, cognitive impairments and low income.

Knowledge of a housing first approach and understanding of health and support services for transgender and gender fluid identified clients.

Demonstrated ability and experience dealing with aggressive behaviours and effective de-escalation and boundary setting skills.

2 Year diploma in social services or certification in security.

3+ years of experience working with older adults and/or seniors with mental health, addictions issues, and street involvement.

Demonstrated ability in written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills.

Knowledge of geriatric and aging issues.

Knowledge of issues faced by adults with special needs, which will include: addictions and cognitive impairments

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Good crisis intervention and problem solving skills

Experience in working with limited supervision but as part of a team of professionals

Preparing, cooking and serving meals, and cleaning the common areas of the residence.

Assisting residents by providing care in their daily activities in such areas as feeding, moving or transfers, toileting and personal hygiene.

Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment (even better if it was food manufacturing!)

Have previous experience in sanitation (even better if it is industrial sanitation!)

Maintain the cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding area

Adhere to cleaning procedures in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices Standards and Health and Safety guidelines

Collect waste and recyclable materials from production area and dispose of them
