Five (5) years recent related experience in an appropriate area of clinical practice within a large complex health organization.

Experience using a variety of software applications including presentation, word processing, spreadsheet and databases.

Comprehensive knowledge of issues in relevant service area including current trends, best practices and modalities of treatment.

Utilizes strong critical thinking skills when making decisions, resolving issues/conflict.

Demonstrated ability to manage and resolving conflict.

Demonstrated skills and ability to facilitate team building and to work both independently and collaboratively.

Knowledge of legislation and government policies and procedures that relate to the service population.

5 to 7 years of experience working with complex social systems or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Provides consultation, education and information to individuals, families, community, and caregivers about mental wellness.

Communicates regularly with the Mental Health and Wellness Manager- NHA Region, regarding community incidents.

Collaborates with First Nation Health leaders to identify and address gaps, barriers and challenges of service delivery and offer solutions.

Collaborates with Team leader, Mental Health Manager, First Nations Leadership, and Health Leads regarding systemic challenges and barriers.

Ensures client/family/community confidentiality and privacy in accordance with professional regulatory guidelines and following standards of practice and legal requirements.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage a varied workload and problem solve.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience providing evidence-based interventions for mental health and addictions in adult populations

Working remotely in Nova Scotia using Zoom or other virtual technology with clients throughout Nova Scotia

Current registration with relevant provincial regulatory body

Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently with limited supervision and participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Extensive knowledge of applicable clinical information system, module implementation and use of applicable modules in a healthcare setting

Knowledge of clinical information systems such as MEDITECH, Paris, Profile or related system

Serves as a resource to FH regarding clinical informatics and electronic health information.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Ability to apply adult teaching and learning principles in a variety of settings (e.g., classroom and online)

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

iv. Utilize current developed learning tools and processes to support a consistent learning experience to the customer.

v. Track and manage performance in the classroom and, if required, manage transition to team manager/stakeholder.
