A minimum of 2 years’ experience providing evidence-based interventions for mental health and addictions in adult populations

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of standard criteria used (DSM-5) for the classification and diagnosis of mental health disorders

Working remotely in Nova Scotia using Zoom or other virtual technology with clients throughout Nova Scotia

Current registration with relevant provincial regulatory body

Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently with limited supervision and participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Demonstrated knowledge and skills in individual/ group cognitive behavioral therapy as well as psycho educational groups.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

Demonstrated knowledge and skills in crisis intervention, suicide and violence risk assessment/ intervention

Two years’ related experience required (including assessment and planning, treatment and intervention and discharge planning).

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of standard criteria used (DSM V) for the classification and diagnosis of mental health disorders.

Experience in interviewing, counseling and teaching health concepts to individuals, families and groups.

Demonstrated knowledge and skills in crisis intervention, suicide and violence risk assessment/ intervention

High level of written/ oral/ interpersonal communication skills; experience with conflict resolution

Non-violent crisis intervention and Suicide Risk Assessment preferred

Current knowledge of psychotropic medications and symptom management.

Comprehensive experience in crisis intervention, de-escalation and management of challenging behaviours required.

Demonstrated organizational and project management skills required.

Planning, implementing, maintaining and monitoring appropriate databases for outcome management.

Collaborating closely with the physician and management teams to facilitate ongoing innovative initiatives across the LHIN community.

Strong understanding of treatment modalities related to dual diagnosis, concurrent disorders and withdrawal management required.

Demonstrated expertise with the DSM-IV diagnostic system, case management, principles of behavioral management as well as psychological testing

Excellent problem-solving, organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

High level of written/oral/interpersonal communication skills; experience with conflict resolution

Extensive experience working with children with behavioral and neurodevelopmental disorders, in particular, autism spectrum disorders

Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in intervention for young children with ASD

Demonstrated ability to formulate and implement treatment plans to promote positive adaptive behaviors, independence and skills development

Use the CRM (Customer Relations Management System) to ensure that field activities are captured and documented.

Manage field budget adequately to optimize reach and targeted customer interaction.

Work closely with the Medical Science Liaison and Medical Education teams to identify educational opportunities and develop advocacy in territory.

A minimum of 2 year of sales experience, ideally in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry

Experience in the CNS field and/or working with psychiatrists an asset

Strong business acumen and analytical skills

Establish and maintain good working relationships with patients, colleagues, management, community agencies, academic settings, students and volunteers

Three (3) years of recent and relevant experience required

Previous work experience in crisis services an asset

Bachelors Degree in relevant health discipline (BSW, MSW, MScOT, BScN)

License with the relevant licensing body

Demonstrates success in collaborating in others

Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Nursing, Education, or a related field.

University or college employment experience, especially in Student Affairs, an asset.

Experience with community engagement and understanding of collaborative leadership and collective impact frameworks.
