Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Comfortable Operating welding shop tools and equipment.

Use Grinders in a continuous manner.

Responsible for ensuring compliance with the company's Workplace H&S Rules, Policies and Procedures at all times

Some experience with Robotic Arc Welding & with industrial robots an asset.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Evaluate, diagnose, repair, clean and test welders

Troubleshoot Weld Systems and Robotic Equipment to resolve welding related issues.

Use customized database to track all work

Read OEM manuals and follow repair procedures

Experience or certification in welding

Skilled in the use of MIG

Set up and operate all welding equipment

Must be able to read teh blue prints/drawings

Repair machinery and other components

Able to use wide variety of hands tools and equipment

Perform various types of welding, including MIG, Stick, according to project requirements.

Proven experience as a welder or similar role with a track record of successful welding projects.

Knowledge of different metals and alloys and their appropriate welding methods.

Welding certification from a reputable institution or relevant trade school.

Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.

Knowledge of CNC Plasma table operation is an asset.

Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements

Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)

Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)

Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)

Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus

Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures

Knowledge of welding and procedures, and ability to pass a weld test.

Operate wire gun welders - pulse.

Set-up and utilize weld fixtures.

Reference drawings and fabricate standard and simple special forms.

Use and read measuring tape accurately to 1/64

Record labor accurately on work order and time sheets.

2 + years of experience providing client-facing technical support

Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)

TIG Welding mainly Aluminum and steel products

Follow specified blueprints and procedures

Complete QC checklists to verify the quality of the product manufactured meets standards

Create and set up jigs
