Intern Cyber Security Engineer Jobs

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory with emphasis on engineering design, migration, management, and support of implementations

Hands-on experience to install, upgrade, patch, configure, test, maintain and troubleshoot IAM and PAM platforms

Expert level experience with Java, JavaScript, Beanshell, PowerShell, JSON, XML, RPC, SQL, Python and REST development

Strong skills in documenting system configurations, standards, and procedures

5+ years’ hands-on design and implementation experience with SailPoint IdentityNow, CyberArk and/or HashiCorp Vault

Analyzes business impact and exposure, based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and risks;

Strong experience with security strategy, with a passion to make security realistic, achievable and interwoven with the business fabric;

Strong experience in migrating enterprise companies from traditional data center infrastructure, application and data designs to hybrid or fully-cloud enabled practices.

Strong experience with cloud provider ecosystems, including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and OpenStack.

Strong experience with multiple relational database platforms, including MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL;

Some experience with Unix/Linux and Windows system administration;

Act as the expert or lead innovator and agent of change for the programs and services under management

Work with other teams to implement best practices for cyber engineering and management

Participate in quality management reviews, reviews of the designs, prototypes, and other required work products to ensure they are fulfilled.

Develop as-built program activities to establish details needed using configuration management processes.

Experience with and knowledge of WAF (Web Application Firewalls)

Experience with and knowledge of CDN (Content Delivery Networks)

Maintain monitoring software to ensure proper functionality of all managed devices

Attend internal MNP courses to further develop knowledge around performance improvement

Experience with Microsoft operating systems, applications and tools

Work with both clients and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues

Investigate assigned tickets; responsible for the task until it has been completed/resolved

Monitor and resolve incidents and support requests; ensure response/resolution within service level agreement (SLA) targets

Identifying new runbooks required to aid in expanding the knowledge of the team

Customer-facing experience in any fashion

Network Routing and Switching knowledge

Virtual environment experience with VMware or Hyper-V

Three or more years of experience working in Security Operations Incident Response and Triage

Experience improving security within a large enterprise leveraging Microsoft solutions and technology.

Strong problem-solving / troubleshooting skills, and deep technical understanding of modern cybersecurity threats.

Deep knowledge of Microsoft ecosystem and Microsoft’s suite of security tools

Strong SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS skills

Duration – 12 months contract

Making sure system backups are running in case of a security attack

Implementing network security blueprints prepared by security architects

Managing information and data access

Maintaining and updating firewalls and testing the organization’s network and systems

Participating in the change management process.

Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.

Must have a command of network management principles.

Align to governance, compliance and regulatory requirements including PCI DSS, HIPAA, HITRUST, GDPR and CCPA, or other relevant requirements.

Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities.

Work with other technology teams and customers to perform tests and uncover network or other vulnerabilities.

5-7 years’ proven experience in cyber security within the retail, hospitality or manufacturing industries

Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience

Experience managing WAN/LAN networks and security within AWS and/or Azure

Experience with various SIEM solutions.

CISM, CISSP or equivalent security qualifications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail
