Cyber Security Engineer
Reports to: IT Cloud and Infrastructure Manager, Baker's Delight in Australia
Location: Vancouver, BC
COBS Bread is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to play an important role in implementing and maintaining security systems across our global organization that we use to service our Franchisees, customers and internal teams. This position will be responsible for analyzing security requirements, making recommendations for improvements, and adopt emerging changes in network operations and cyber security technologies.
Key responsibilities include:

• Creating and maintaining support documentation and runbook processes 
• Ensuring the global network has a stable backup and disaster recovery solution
• Review and ensure systems are patched in a timely manner as per scheduled patches
• Configuring and supporting security tools, such as firewalls and anti-virus software
• Provide training and cyber security resources as needed
• Contribute to the execution of the COBS Bread and Baker's Delight Cyber Security strategy by performing analysis, formulating recommendations and application development into the technology infrastructure
• Assisting with secure implementations of projects and other duties as assigned
• Managing and maintaining relationships with vendors and external service providers
• Keep abreast of industry security trends, developments, applicable government laws and regulations
• Configuring and supporting new and existing security tools
• Maintaining and ensuring the security of the global networks - corporate and retail networks
• Ownership and resolution of security incidents end to end

Requirements
What You Bring to the Table:

• 5-7 years’ proven experience in cyber security within the retail, hospitality or manufacturing industries
• Knowledge of Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods and/or Franchising is an asset
• Strong organizational skills in working on multiple projects, meeting tight deadlines and working with a sense of urgency
• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience
• Experience managing WAN/LAN networks and security within AWS and/or Azure
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Candidates will be required to undertake a Criminal Record Check.
• Experience with various SIEM solutions.
• Network qualification such as CCNP is an asset
• CISM, CISSP or equivalent security qualifications
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
• ITIL Foundations qualification
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office 365, including Outlook, Word and Excel
