Intern Cyber Security Engineer Jobs in British Columbia

1 years of experience in security or compliance related positions or relevant education related to security

Experience in a heavily regulated industry is an asset (medical, finance, etc.)

Experience communicating and collaborating with teams using Slack, Atlassian (JIRA) and Salesforce tools

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver crisp feedback

Experience managing projects with internal and client teams is an asset

Provide training to employees on policies, processes, and security

Participating in the change management process.

Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.

Must have a command of network management principles.

Align to governance, compliance and regulatory requirements including PCI DSS, HIPAA, HITRUST, GDPR and CCPA, or other relevant requirements.

Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities.

Work with other technology teams and customers to perform tests and uncover network or other vulnerabilities.

5-7 years’ proven experience in cyber security within the retail, hospitality or manufacturing industries

Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience

Experience managing WAN/LAN networks and security within AWS and/or Azure

Experience with various SIEM solutions.

CISM, CISSP or equivalent security qualifications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail
