10 years of experience working in a construction project management capacity with local market GC's

GSC, relevant education in engineering or construction management are assets

Knowledge of PLC and HMI automation ( new pumping plants )

Knowledge of Hi Pot and Partial Discharge cable testing for MV cables up to 44KV.

Demonstrated knowledge of rigging, scaffolding and climbing.

Working knowledge of the Electrical Utility Safety Rules and industry safe work practices

Working knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and pertinent Regulations

Demonstrated experience in the safe operation of all equipment and vehicles related to electrical utility work

10+ years of project management experience in high-rise residential construction.

As a Senior Project Manager, the successful candidate must have multiple new build full cycle high-rise projects of Canadian experience.

Obtain & manage building permits

Manage the RFI & submittals process

Manage quality control consultants, frequently reviewing work and scheduling performance reviews

Coordinate access and security with property manager upon occupancy

Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field.

Knowledge: In-depth understanding of project management principles, construction processes, and building codes/regulations relevant to high-rise projects in Toronto.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Project Coordinator or a similar role in high-rise construction projects in Toronto.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build positive working relationships.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure effective communication, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.

Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Ability to identify issues, analyze data, and propose effective solutions.

Direct and lead the activities of the Assistant Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and other support staff on the project

Act as a liaison and facilitate communication with the owner/developers, project consultants and trade contractors Prepare and manage project schedules

Prepare trade tender packages, manage the tendering process, level bids received and prepare recommendations of award for owner review

Establish priorities for the project staff based on owner and project requirements

Manage and review the monthly draw process to ensure accurate, thorough, and timely project draws

Manage the occupancy process with the project team and relevant municipality

Manage change orders throughout the duration of our projects, including negotiating, assessing cost and schedule impact.

Demonstrate leadership skills with ability to provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
