Providing support to personnel management

Accounts payable and accounts receivable support

Briefing on financial authority, regulations and financial structure

Processing vendor invoices, payables and receivables

Initiating, processing and finalizing claims

Assisting members with credit card and reconciliation

Prepare and post required month-end journal entries with adequate clear support for approval by the Finance Manager

Contribute to driving performance management processes that incorporate performance reporting and analysis and competitive benchmarking

Ability to interact with all levels of management in a professional manner

Maintain and develop tools and models for refinery performance consistent with guidance from central finance teams

Must have a bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Business, Finance, Economics, or Engineering preferably

3-5 years of financial analysis experience is required

Knowledge of Power BI and management information systems to support the Rates database

Detail oriented with strong time management, planning and organizational skills

Analyze key performance indicators of the business against plan to support management’s use of data-based decision making.

Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Previous experience with ERP & planning software, including Oracle EPM would be an asset.

Proficiency in data analysis and data manipulation and experience working with large data sets would be an asset.

What You Need To Know

Prepare monthly special project schedule, conduct ad hoc financial analysis, and/or other assignments as delegated by management

5+ years of progressive work experience in Finance, with a preference for candidates holding CPA designation or working towards CPA

Experience working in a large organization with a SOX control environment, strong IFRS knowledge

Prepare renewable updates for VP renewables, Director Finance and CFO, monthly

University Degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field of study

Working knowledge of Great Plains, Cognos and Blackline would be an asset

Collaborate with the Senior Financial Analyst in month/quarter/year-end finance and accounting processes

Provide financial analysis and support in the planning process as directed by the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

University Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or an equivalent field

2+ years of Financial Analyst experience

Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

Strong computer skills using accounting and possibly financial planning software packages

At least 5 years experience in a Finance department applying management accounting in an analyst role

Demonstrated skills in establishing strong working relationships with senior executives, internal/external customers, suppliers, contractors and team members

Experience in an ERP financial system required. Preferably Oracle, SAP/BPC, OnesStream

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and have the ability to work in a team environment
