Family Programs Coordinator Jobs

Two (2) years of management experience in the health and social services sector will be considered an asset;

Conducts Instructor staff meetings for workshop and teacher programs.

Assists communications between Applied Science Outreach and local school districts, principals, and teachers

Candidates with experience working at a charity or non-profit organization are highly encouraged to apply

- Planning and executing programs and events

- Contribute new ideas for our programs/ vents /initiatives

- Communicating with potential support partners for outreach and collaboration opportunities

- Maintain strong relationships with program partners and communicate program updates and reporting

- Promote the programs and events on social media and the website

•Previous experience in grant administration, program management, or related roles is an asset.

•PMP training and/ or equivalent project management experience is an asset.

•Completion of a postsecondary diploma or certificate, or a combination of education, training and relevant experience.

•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

•Proficiency in data management and analysis.

•Knowledge of grant-making software and processes, funding cycles, and compliance requirements is an asset.

Knowledge of and experience with youth programming

Minimum of two years customer service experience (education in this area is an asset)

Excellent supervisory skills & relevant experience

Build & manage relationships with program clients

Manage content of related program pages on CSMI websites

Other duties as requested by the Manager, Development Programs or Director, Hockey Programs

• Skilled, knowledgeable and experienced in local community engagement and planning work including

recruitment, management and retention of diverse volunteers.

• Knowledge of research and direct experience of what families need and what fosters strong family

• Knowledge and experience of Neighbourhood House work, particularly community based program

• Diploma or Undergraduate degree or equivalent in social work, child and youth care, education or other

human service discipline with 1 – 2 years experience in the voluntary sector

Manage and administer school attendance (vacation/sick/lieu etc.) records. Tracks overtime accumulated by staff and coordinate office coverage.

Minimum of five (5) years related work experience in a post-secondary institution.

Initiate and implement effective administrative procedures to ensure the efficient operation of PPL.

Respond to inquiries on a wide range of issues concerning college academic policies, programs, operating procedures and academic/college/faculty services.

Excellent organizational skills and experience managing data

Alongside the Family Partnerships Manager, oversee the application process and review of potential partner families (e.g information sessions, logistics, materials, presentations)

Manage inflow of applications and work with families to ensure complete applications

Manage the process, criteria and priority for the application reviews and volunteers

Work with the Senior Manager(s) and Marketing team to ensure accuracy of brochures, posters, ads, and other outreach materials.

One to two years of relevant work experience in coordinating complex processes and/or customer service

Implement required case management and clinical records

Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of strengths-based family systems and attachment-based support.

Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Conduct brief screening and assessments to identify the specific service needs of each child, youth and/or family.

Provide information regarding child development, available services within the FCC, and other available resources in the community.

Connect the child, youth or family and support the transition between relevant FCC services.

Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills, including the handling of multiple, concurrent issues and tasks.

Previous experience with individuals and families affected by dementia.

Previous experience with a community-based agency and/or not-for-profit agency

Previous experience in the development and delivery of both individual care plans and group support activities.

Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.

Implementing and maintaining required case management and clinical records.

Experience with FASD, Autism, neurocognitive developmental disabilities, other complex developmental Behavioural conditions, and child development.

Providing parent / caregiver coaching, education and support based on their identified needs and priorities.

Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of strengths-based family systems and attachment-based support.

Working knowledge of the CPS (Collaborative Proactive Solutions) model.

Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Education and/or experience in data management, analysis, and visualization is an asset.

Maintain clean and accurate records in Blackbaud Grantmaking (MusiCounts’ grant management system); conduct ongoing data validation, correction and cleanup.

Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Database Management & Reporting (25%)

Postsecondary education (degree, diploma or certificate) in a related field is required.

A Master’s in Applied Behaviour Analysis or an MEd in Special Education with a BCBA Certification with experience is preferred.

Implement and maintain required case management and clinical records.

Conduct a Comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessment to assess specific behavioural challenges and skill deficits.

A Bachelor’s in Applied Behaviour Analysis with or without a BCaBA and relevant experience.

Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of strengths-based family systems and attachment-based support.

Experience working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Related education in early childhood education, child development, or social work, or have ECE (Early Childhood Educator) Certification preferable

Minimum 1 year experience working with diverse or vulnerable populations

Understanding and knowledge of the Downtown Eastside & Strathcona communities

Awareness and knowledge of the Family court system, including BC child protection legislation an asset

Experience in program research, development, & evaluation

Good communication skills, both written and verbal
