Project Management certification (e.g., PMP).

5 years of experience managing projects, focused on the construction and development of oil and gas facilities and pipelines.

Experience working with small to medium-sized (<250 employees) oil and gas engineering services (EPC) firms.

Assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel.

Accredited Engineering diploma or degree (Petroleum, Chemical, Process, Industrial, Mechanical or related).

Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.), Provisional Licensee, Professional Licensee (P.L.Eng.) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.

Bid, award, and manage supply and design of third-party equipment to Startec and client requirements.

Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, work breakdown structure, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

Good knowledge of ASME / ANSI / API / CSA Codes and ABSA requirements

Develop engineering deliverables, such as system layouts, equipment specifications, calculations, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

Generate quotation requests and purchase requisitions for third-party equipment, and lead technical communications with project manager, engineers, and vendors.

Assist Project Manager with evaluation and selection of engineering/design partners.

Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates, and other contract or project-related administrative documents

Lead the control of project-related documents and deliver all work in accordance with our Quality Management System and procedures

Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word), and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications

Experience representing owners to multiple stakeholders in the delivery of projects

A minimum of 2 years of experience managing public sector construction projects (federal, provincial, municipal, school boards, etc.)

Professional order or association memberships and PMP certifications will be considered an asset

Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and engineering practices preferred

Experience in facilities projects required, including but not limited to HVAC, Clean Utilities, GMP Manufacturing and Packaging rooms, and Flow Optimization

Strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills

Other graphical software experience preferred

Prepare facility documentation, including URSs, drawings, commissioning and validation protocols and review these documents to identify deficiencies

Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience and demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of institutional facility construction and project management

Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Thorough knowledge of and experience in the application of engineering and architectural principles, practices and standards

Working knowledge of current project software

Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

3 years of project management experience. Managing the timely execution of multi-disciplinary projects, specifically related to infrastructure and facilities operations.

Working knowledge and experience on regulations (GMP, WHMIS, Ministry of Labour, MOEE, etc).

Strong analytical skills including troubleshooting and root cause analysis, able to quickly identify issues, causes and sustainable corrective actions

Working knowledge of facilities systems (HVAC, Electrical, Life Safety Systems, etc.)

Knowledge of Standard Industry Construction Tendering processes and use of Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) contracts would be an asset.
