Equity Research Associate Intern Jobs in Manitoba

Analyze information obtained from management in order to conceptualize and define operational problems;

Manage databases and electronic data services (i.e. Bloomberg, FactSet, etc.);

Continue to build industry knowledge and find avenues for independent investigation in the sector; and

Minimum 1-2 years full time equity research work experience or 2-4 years of industry experience;

Advanced qualification (CFA, P. Eng, P. Geo, MBA, or CPA) would be an asset but not required;

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;

Prior Equity Research Experience would be an asset.

Bachelor's or Master's degree student in a relevant field such as Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.

Strong interest or experience in the Manufacturing sector, with a solid understanding of industry dynamics, trends, and key players.

Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from diverse sources.

Previous internship or work experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking, or related fields is a plus.

Some Of Your Regular Responsibilities Will Include

Creating and maintaining spreadsheets including financial models and industry databases

2-3 years industry experience related to field of study (mining engineering, mining technology, geology, earth sciences, metallurgy, and/or capital markets)

Strong writing, financial modeling and verbal communication skills

Strong computer skills (Excel) with ability to quickly learn new platforms (Bloomberg, FactSet, etc.)

Detail oriented with solid analytical skills

Previous experience in the natural resources/extractive sector or Research related role a plus (preferred)

Develop and enhance detailed company specific and industry macro financial models

Technical Skills. Excellent knowledge of PC applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)

What You Need To Know

8+ years related working experience, be familiar with the Hongkong capital market and Chinese stocks.
