Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join their team as a Private Equity Intern with a specific interest or experience in the Manufacturing sector. This is a remote position that offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of Private Equity while working with a dynamic and innovative team. As an intern, you will have the chance to work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and make a meaningful impact on their investment activities.


Responsibilities


  • Collaborative teamwork: Work closely with senior professionals to support various investment-related activities and contribute to team discussions and strategy sessions. This will include participating in investment meetings, providing insights and recommendations, and assisting with the overall execution of investment strategies.
  • Due diligence support: Support the due diligence process by gathering and analyzing relevant data, preparing investment memos, and conducting thorough research on target companies. You will work closely with senior professionals to evaluate the viability and attractiveness of potential investments.
  • Investment monitoring: Assist in monitoring and tracking the performance of existing portfolio companies, analyzing financial statements, and providing regular updates to the team. This will involve conducting periodic reviews, assessing operational and financial performance, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Deal sourcing and fundraising: As a Private Equity Intern, your primary responsibility will be to identify and source potential investment opportunities within the Manufacturing sector. This will involve conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and identifying target companies that align with their investment criteria. Additionally, you will be responsible for finding the necessary capital to fund these investment opportunities, actively reaching out to potential investors, and developing relationships with financial partners.
  • Financial analysis: Assist in performing financial analysis, including building financial models, conducting valuation assessments, and evaluating investment returns. This will involve analyzing historical financial statements, market data, and other relevant information to assess the potential value and risks associated with investment opportunities.


Qualifications


  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from diverse sources.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interest or experience in the Manufacturing sector, with a solid understanding of industry dynamics, trends, and key players.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, including financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment evaluation.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Previous internship or work experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking, or related fields is a plus.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree student in a relevant field such as Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.


Compensation


  • This internship offers course credit or cooperative education (coop) opportunities.
  • Additionally, a success fee bonus of up to $25,000 will be provided based on the successful closing of investment deals.
