Qualifications for the Director, Finance vacancy:

Knowledge of financial administration systems, obtained through prior work experience

Prior knowledge of a modern computerized accounting systems is a requirement

Expert level of skills in Excel.

Knowledge of program funding and budget development

In-depth working knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting

3+ years of experience in a senior management level position with demonstrated progressive increase in responsibilities.

Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting or related field or a combination of relevant education, training, and experience.

7+ years’ progressively responsible financial management experience, including managing the annual budget cycle and monthly financial statement preparation review.

Reporting monthly on REAL’s financial performance and all matters as defined in the Audit and Finance Committee mandate.

Providing leadership to the Finance Department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions.

Oversees banking, cash management and treasury functions including cash flow reporting and investment management activities.

Responsible for the Club’s financial management systems and the integration of such systems with other management information systems of the organization.

Provides analysis, counsel, and guidance to the Club’s executive team and Board of Directors on finance related matters.

Leads and inspires finance team members to ensure the Club maximizes their strengths and builds highly motivated and empowered teams.

Works closely with the Audit & Finance Committee of the Board in enabling the Committee to fulfill its governance functions.
