Deployment Automation Engineer Jobs in Ontario

Establish a skill/knowledge onboarding plan for new Technical Engineers.

Good knowledge of Palo Alto firewall management

Develop automation to improve deployments of new branches and support existing infrastructure, e.g. device provisioning, configuration management, testing, patching, etc.

Participate as needed in incident, problem and change management processes as well as lessons learned with focus on continuous improvements

Configure and manage routing and switching platforms to support business applications

Design, configure and manage Wi-Fi solutions to support voice and location services

Configure and manage WAN between all locations with in-house solutions or provider managed services

Have strong risk and schedule management skills.

Have a good understanding of project management principles and best practices.

Have 3+ years of experience providing project coordination or IT-related deployment support, including;

Have excellent, clear, and concise communication skills, and proficient writing skills for the preparation of reports and presentations.

Have a strong ability to prioritize tasks, especially in situations with competing requirements.

Have excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

Strong PLC programming skills, preferably experienced with Allan Bradley Control Logix and PLC5

Strong DCS programming skills, preferably experienced with Foxboro

Minimum of 5 years of relevant telecom experience in IP/MPLS domain – work with SP providing mobile and enterprise services.

Excellent debugging / troubleshooting skills are must.

Hands on experience on at least one of the following high-level programming languages: Python, jinja, Java, C# (Python is preferred).

Hands on experience on PHP based front-end, Linux, virilization and scripting (JavaScript/HTML5/Web frontend development)

Experience on orchestrate on platforms (Stack storm, Ansible) is a big plus.

Experience with non-relational Databases (MongoDB is a plus).

Complete projects by taking ownership of deliverables and using technical and project management skills

Some Project Management/Managing Contractors experience desired

Skills and abilities to provide technical and administrative guidance for activities in defined scope of responsibilities

Strong leadership, relationship management, and organizational planning and project management skills

Provide electrical assistance including troubleshooting, project engineering and project management

Knowledge of ESA and CSA standards as they pertain to electrical safety and safeguarding of machinery compliance

Evaluate and recommend allowances for indirect costs, design unknowns, management reserve and contingency.

Review quotes with management team as part of the approval process.

Perform project management activities to help deliver projects to customers.

Prepare and/or coordinate the preparation of full cost quotes and proposals based on Customer requirements and needs.

Manages and stores data in an organized manner in order to facilitate future quoting based on historical data.

Maintain in depth knowledge of business/products to educate and advise customers.
