Overview:
A Dental Nurse is a healthcare professional who assists dentists in providing dental care to patients. They are responsible for preparing the patient for treatment, sterilizing instruments, taking x-rays, and providing post-operative care. Dental Nurses must have excellent communication skills and be able to work well with both patients and dentists. They must also be knowledgeable about dental procedures and be able to provide patient education.How To Become an Dental Nurse:
To become a Dental Nurse, you must complete a dental nursing program. These programs are typically offered at community colleges, vocational schools, and universities. The program typically takes one to two years to complete and includes courses in anatomy, physiology, dental materials, and dental office procedures. After completing the program, you must pass a state-approved exam to become a licensed Dental Nurse.Dental Nurse Skills:
