Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering + 2 years of heavy civil engineering experience.

Experience in transit or rail

Experience working on-site (construction supervision, surveying, compaction monitoring / testing, etc.)

5-10 years’ experience in project management

Previous experience with system implementation and modification, process improvement, data management and reporting

Manage project scope by assessing requirement change, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.

Proficient in project management tools like Smartsheet, JIRA etc.

Create and manage project plans, deliverables and timelines. Factoring independencies and contingencies across multiple related projects and using best practices

Valid Project Management Certification (PMP) certification Experience:

Experience (10 years+) and adept knowledge Nuclear / Nuclear Waste/ Commercial Systems/Decommissioning- Building, HVAC (Building Management), Cranes, Electrical, I&C Systems.

Requires Engineering Change Control (ECC) process experience. Requires strong organizational skills.

N-STD-AS-0028 – Project Management Standard

N-STD- AS-0029 – Contract Management Standard

Ensure proper process is followed when defining labour requirements and arranging for labour resources.

Support staff through the methodologies of project management and earthwork design solutions

Experience in a safety focused environment with near miss and incident reporting requirements

15+ years of related experience on a large civil or mining projects; With at least 7-10 years of leadership experience

Excellent organizational, planning skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities

Strong technical knowledge of modern construction practices, documents, drawings, schedules, technologies, equipment, industry practices and contract negotiations.

A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience

Additional Qualifications - The following will also be considered:

University degree or college diploma in business administration, computer science or a related field

Licensed Civil Engineer with a minimum of 5 years project management experience.

Project management experience in a consulting engineering environment.

Demonstrated experience in project engineering and management within the land development industry, including residential, commercial and/or industrial projects.

Collaborate with Partners and other Project Managers to identify project requirements and relay same to internal design teams.

In-depth working knowledge of land development principles and municipal requirements within the Province of Ontario.

Excellent communication and report writing skills and ability to prioritize/manage multiple project timelines.
