Canada Payroll Specialist Jobs in Ontario

Tracks, monitors, and confirms inventory. Inputs inventory into company software, and advises discrepancies to management.

Performs detailed research on questionable orders; communicates any discrepancies to internal customers and management.

Performs other related duties and projects as directed by management.

Inputs orders and verifies accuracy of data entered in company systems based on product and system knowledge.

Reviews sales order queues; prints and manages all batch picking tickets.

Enters alphabetic and numeric notes into FedEx system following standard documentation requirements.

Prepare Records of Employment (ROE) in accordance with Service Canada requirements.

Must have experience in the payroll field.

Experience with ADP Workforce Now / Workday - strongly preferred.

Strong computer skills (Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint).

Flex/hybrid – Mississauga office – or remote.

Process bi-weekly payrolls for +500 salaried and hourly employees, in a multi-provincial environment.

Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field; or equivalent experience required.

Seven years of experience in processing payroll.

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and hazard recognition, record keeping and injury management skills

Experience with WSIB, Case Management

Maintaining a paperwork management system to track training records to track all safety training initiatives conducted personally or by outside consultants/vendors

Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Coordinating and presenting safety training to support client requirements, including new hire orientation, fall protection, confined space, lockout/tagout and repertory

5+ years of experience in the construction of large infrastructure projects

Assist with performance management, recruiting, training and onboarding programsand activities.

Requires a bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Requires 2+ years of direct experience as an HR practitioner. HR certification strongly preferred.

Ensure HR activities are aligned with the overall business strategy, ensuring compliance to all federal, provincial, local, and company requirements.

General benefits program administration in including assising employees to resolve questions and claims issues with carrier and monitor benefits invoices.

Experience with HR and Payroll software is required.
