Assistant Hr Generalist Jobs

Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, and performance management.

Respond to employee requests regarding compensation packages inclusive of health and wellness benefits, and Group RRSP.

Experienced in a union and non-union environment and comfortable representing the interests of the organization with either group.

Be well-versed and experienced with HR trends, best practices, and legislative changes to proactively address any potential impacts on the organization.

HR experience in the construction industry.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.

College diploma required or Post-Secondary education in Human Resource management preferred.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities at all times, with shifting deadlines.

Provide HR updates to payroll as required (i.e. new starts, terminations, salary or benefit changes).

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

High levels of flexibility and adaptability; experience with organizational change.

Intermediate to Advanced skill in Microsoft Office applications

Degree focused in Human Resources Management, or relevant HR certification such as CPHR or SHRM-CP

Working with Binnie’s managers to implement and coordinate corporate HR best practices, resulting in engaging employee experiences.

Working collaboratively with managers and staff on a variety of people related activities. Providing counsel to managers and staff alike.

Ensuring offers are prepared in alignment with Binnie’s overall compensation philosophy

Demonstrated practical knowledge of Employment Standards, and other employment laws and regulations

Excellent communication skills and ability to convey new information in an easy to understand manner

Talent management & acquisition – run full recruitment process and team member engagement, etc.

Management of leave process for staff (medical, maternity & other)

5+ years of experience within a HR Generalist or HR Manager role, or equivalent
