What Would You Do?

The Workstation Technician is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of our client systems. You will be responsible for both day-today responsibilities and full implementation projects.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position would include but not limited to:

Client Hardware Administration

• Work with hardware support vendors for problem resolution and escalation
• Create workarounds to problems and initiate recovery procedures
• Provide timely remote and on-site support for client hardware, including diagnosing issues or performing new installations
• Install and configure client hardware
• In-scope equipment
• Diagnose and replace or upgrade hardware parts

Client Software Administration

• Advise on software solutions or workarounds
• Monitor each installation and tune as required for optimal performance
• Android
• Install patches and service packs
• Windows (8 to 10)
• Anti-virus (Sophos)
• Configure permissions
• RMM Solution (Ninja, Intune, Team Viewer)
• Microsoft Office (2010 to current)
• Office 365 and related applications/services
• Developing documented procedures for administration
• Image each client system as necessary for backup or migration
• Install and configure operating systems or software applications as per specifications and industry standards, including large-scale deployments of software to client systems
• IOS
• MacOS
• Work with software support vendors for problem resolution and escalation
• For each software platform the Workstation Technician will:
• The Workstation Technician will need to be proficient in working with many different software platforms, including but not limited to:

What Do You Bring?

This position requires experience in the areas of client hardware and software administration.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

• Experience in network operations and implementation and a good understanding of LAN, WAN and firewall management methodologies would be an asset
• 2-3 years experience with client hardware including: workstations, laptops, mobile devices, RF barcode scanners, VOIP phones, multi-function printers (MFP), meeting room technology
