Position Summary
The ideal candidate is a customer service oriented individual, who is able to work on multiple assignments in a fast-paced professional environment. The Intermediate Developer is responsible for designing, building, documenting, and testing system components to support the Transport and Logistics business at Canada Cartage.
Location: 6767 Davand Drive, Mississauga.
- Some travel may be required if involved in a project.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, days
- Weekend and afterhours support could be required for patch update, infrastructure upgrade, or when production issues happen.
What you will do
· Design and code web and mobile components, integration interfaces, dashboards and reports.
· Write technical specifications, use-case diagrams, and deployment documents.
· Collaborate with IT team members and business representatives to understand and validate business requirements.
· Manage application lifecycle to ensure smooth deployment and post-production modifications.
· Assist IT team members and business representatives on user testing.
· Provide day-to-day support to existing applications, integration interfaces, and reports for internal and external business customers.
What You’ll Bring
Must have:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with service-oriented architecture.
- Ability to analyze and grasp complex architectural environments.
- 3+ years of experience in integration development using Microsoft BizTalk, SOAP/REST API.
- Strong believer in documentation and standardization.
- Passion for technology and the ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently.
- 5+ years of development experience in Microsoft .NET using C# and Visual Studio.
- 5+ years of experience in MS SQL Server and other server-side programming languages.
- Knowledge of integration concepts and patterns, including XML schemas, SOAP, WS specifications.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge and experience in transportation industry.
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Power BI and SSRS.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge and experience in warehouse and logistics industry.
- Knowledge and experience in Web development.
