Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Water Resources group, based in GTA office and have the opportunity to support a variety of projects throughout GTA that involve water resources, project design, and construction services.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
  • Responsibilities may include overseeing the planning and design of various project elements, the preparation of project reports, hydraulic models, calculations, drawings, construction plans and specifications, permitting packages, and documents for inclusion in the final project deliverables
  • Planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services and will include activities focused on design of municipal stormwater and water resource projects
  • Overseeing construction phase engineering services
  • Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives
The Skills And Knowledge You Bring
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to make technical computations and calculations involving the application of engineering principles, understanding plans and specifications and making factual comparisons to the appropriate regulations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to audiences with diverse technical knowledge.
  • Experience with and working knowledge of surface water analysis, hydrologic methodologies/models (TR-55, HEC-HMS, etc.), hydraulic models (HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, etc.), and with ESRI ArcGIS software.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer, or the ability to meet the minimum criteria to obtain Professional Engineer registration in Ontario within 1 year of employment date.
  • Project management experience with small to mid-level projects including tracking hours and expenses for project work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals
  • Eight (8) years of progressive experience in municipal water resources and storm water infrastructure engineering design, assessment and rehabilitation projects
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audience
