Our client is a well-established logistics organization, and is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor specializing in shipping and receiving.
We are looking for a junior candidate with 3 to 5 years of experience, as we believe in promoting internal long-term staff and providing opportunities for growth within the company.
This role is within the city of Edmonton, and is a day shift warehouse supervisor role with a company dedicated to caring about their people.

Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 2 to 3 staff members and ensuring smooth operations within the warehouse. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Conducting regular inventory counts and administering the ERP system to ensure accuracy.
• Monitoring and addressing any non-conformance issues or customer complaints.
• Collaborating with the team to follow established processes and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborating with staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and optimal workflow.
• Managing stock placement and organizing the warehouse for optimal space utilization.
• Maintaining inventory control by receiving inventory physically and updating the ERP system.
• Occasionally operating a forklift to facilitate loading and unloading when required.
• Handling freight quotation inquiries and providing accurate pricing information.
• Ensuring quality assurance in order picking processes to meet customer requirements.
• Scheduling pickups, coordinating with couriers, and managing waybills for timely delivery.
• Monitoring picking and packing activities to ensure accurate and efficient order fulfillment.

Qualifications
What you'll bring:
3 to 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with a focus on shipping and receiving.
Proficiency in computer systems and software applications related to warehouse management.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle challenging situations with patience.
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to following established processes.
A hands-on approach to work, as this role requires physical activity in a warehouse setting.
Ability to operate a forklift (valid certification preferred).
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
