About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Ward Assistant is responsible for clerical, ordering, portering and support functions for the unit. Duties include arranging appointments, faxing, answering phones and taking messages. Monitor linen, room stock and non stock items. Maintain infection control practices including disinfecting bed rails, door handles, etc. This role also provides indirect support for patient care under the supervisor of the RN/LPN.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
  • Proficient with computers and relevant software (Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Access)
  • Must access training, education and awareness of safety (occupational health safety and patient safety) annually
  • Grade 12 plus one year related experience required
  • Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills

Permanent Part-time (70%); 49 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Incentives
$20.09 - $21.91 Hourly
