Market Research Assistant/Coordinator (Social Impact and Consumer Marketing)


Hi, we are Virtual Pros, a global outsourcing agency based in Los Angeles, California. We provide specialized virtual staffing solutions to innovative businesses. We are seeking to hire a highly motivated and detail-oriented Market Research Assistant/Coordinator to work closely with the Founder and CEO at The Mavenry in supporting their social impact and consumer marketing initiatives. As a Market Research Assistant/Coordinator, your responsibilities will include conducting market research, analyzing data, and providing valuable insights to guide our strategic decision-making processes. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can take charge, work independently, and effectively collaborate within a small team environment. Your contributions will be instrumental in our mission to create a positive social impact through successful fundraising, consumer marketing, and awareness campaigns.


The Mavenry is an experiential marketing consultancy located in Austin, Texas that focuses on building and executing long-term marketing, brand partnerships, and social impact strategies.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of research methodologies and tools.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing research findings, data analysis, and actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor social impact and marketing trends, keeping up-to-date with industry news and developments.
  • Take ownership of research projects, ensuring timely completion and delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Collect and analyze data using various research methods, such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, and data analysis software.
  • Attend 1 Weekly Call through Zoom
  • Conduct in-depth research on target audiences, market trends, and competitors to identify opportunities and inform our marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO to provide market insights and recommendations for campaign planning and execution.


Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of social impact initiatives, sustainability, or nonprofit organizations is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and draw meaningful insights.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in research processes, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Prior experience in market research, data analysis, or related roles is preferred.
  • 3+ years working in the social impact and/or marketing space.
  • Proficiency in using market research tools, data analysis software, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Slack, Asana, Canva, Airtable, and effective email communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with colleagues from different disciplines.
  • Excellent command of the English language, including strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze complex data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate research findings, insights, and recommendations clearly.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
