Job Description
Summary Of The Role


Mammoet is currently looking for an energetic individual to join our Edmonton branch as a heavy-duty transport mechanic. This position requires a candidate with an excellent work ethic, ability to travel, willingness to learn new things in a safe and efficient manner.


What You’ll Be Doing


Responsibilities (including but not limited to)


  • Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed
  • Understand and support Mammoet, SHE-Q and Business Policies and Procedures
  • Conduct all business in a professional, respectful manner
  • Carry out all work in accordance with Mammoet HSE/SHE-Q and business policies and procedures, including the use of all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Able to perform regular maintenance of equipment and material within the department
  • Able to perform regular inspections of all equipment within the department
  • Able to perform and execute repairs on equipment within the department
  • Able to diagnose and/or determine technical problems
  • Mentor apprentices
  • Must document all repairs and parts replacement for the equipment files
  • Other duties as assigned by EMD supervision
  • Be able to read, understand and follow hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical diagrams


What You’ll Need


Experience


  • Familiarity with Schuerle InterCombi / K25 trailers and SPMT an asset
  • Must be familiar with manufacturer diagnostic software
  • Must have sufficient training and experience in the repairing of major brands of tractors & trailers in Mammoet’s fleet.
  • Leadership, basic computer knowledge and strong organizational skills and experience will be an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Commercial Vehicle Inspection license


Education


  • Journeyman trade certificate (Red Seal preferred)
