Trades Worker II - Plumber (Mechanical)

Full-time Permanent Position

Facilities Department - Nisku, AB

Black Gold School Division, a vibrant school division with a passion for delivering outstanding educational opportunities to its 13,000 students and their families, is actively seeking someone with high energy and a strong work ethic to fill a role as a Journeyman in our Mechanical Department. Bordering the City of Edmonton, Black Gold extends from the New Sarepta area to the east, to the Warburg area in the west including the municipalities of Beaumont, Devon, Thorsby, Calmar, and Leduc.

We are looking for an applicant who is a Journeyman Plumbing/Gasfitter with a general knowledge of HVAC/Refrigeration who has the ability to work well with others in a professional, friendly manner. Experience in BMS (Building Management System) would be an asset along with a Journeyman First Class Gasfitter and Fifth Class Power Engineering certification.

Start date for this full-time position will be determined at time of hiring. A valid Alberta driver’s license and current driver’s abstract are required. We provide a total compensation package, which includes a salary, full benefits and a pension plan. There is an ability to work a compressed work week. Benefits and participation in the pension plan will be available upon successful completion of the probationary period. The wage is $37.38 - $38.53. Wage will commensurate with training and experience.
