Trusted by leading brands and regulators for the past ten years, our geolocation solutions are installed on over 400 million devices and analyze over 10 billion transactions a year.

At the heart of it all is the people - we are deeply committed to creating and sustaining a world-class experience for our employees and partners, and providing for the needs of our customers.

GeoComply is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to produce high-quality customer-facing content that contributes to the overall success of our products.

As the Technical Writer , you will create, maintain and improve technical documentation for our software products. You are part of a team of Technical Writers who work collaboratively with product managers, developers, quality engineers and usability experts to create content that is easy to understand and promotes product adoption.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Utilize feedback from internal teams and customers to improve documentation continuously; manage updates and revisions to all documentation.
  • Write easy-to-understand user interface text, release notes, online help, developer guides, implementation guides, product documentation, and API documentation suitable for its intended audience with the focus of helping them quickly and efficiently accomplish their goals.
  • Create, edit and review technical documentation, including user manuals, online help, release notes, and other documentation as required.
  • Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
  • Recommend and implement best practices for cohesive documentation across all mediums - in-product help, online support, and printable product documentation.
  • Work with product, engineering, sales and customer success teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
  • Ensure documentation is consistent with branding and style guidelines.

About You

  • Experience administrating customer-facing documentation portals/platforms with a working knowledge of content authoring tools like Google docs, Confluence, and Markdown-based content management tools.
  • Experience writing release notes, product updates, product copy, in-product help documentation, and tutorials.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • 2+ years experience in technical writing for software products.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice to have

  • Experience creating developer, API, implementation and administration guides.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development and publishing documents with a strict cadence that aligns with product releases.
