Your responsibilities
- Ordering materials required in keeping with delivery times and inventory goals.
- Communicating with inter-company customers and Customer Service to anticipate and/or resolve service issues.
- Receiving customer orders, Pull signals and purchase orders.
- Planning, in collaboration with Engineering, the testing of new molds and resins.
- Managing inventories of raw materials, packaging and finished products to ensure a customer service.
- Controlling the release of non-standard orders, NOQ.
- Participating with Technical Services in planning the preventive maintenance, repair, replacement and preparation of molds and machines.
- Working in collaboration with strategic buyers to establish needs and report on variances.
- Coordinating the shipping and receiving of materials with the warehouse team.
- Participating in the weekly review of operations, problems that arose or were anticipated, and corrective action taken.
- Printing orders, including inspection instructions.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.
- Distributing orders across the Production boards by order of priority to optimize resource utilization.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a dynamic environment.
- French / English bilingualism and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, including MRP, and MS Excel.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Thoroughness, organizational and synthesis skills, and ability to work independently.
- Professional studies, DEC, Bachelor of Operations Management, BBA or equivalent.
- Communication and influencing skills.
- Analytical skills and ability to take initiative.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles such as JIT, Kanban, Takt, (asset).
