Job summary
We’re searching for an energetic and dynamic professional to join our Corporate Human Resources Team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. In this role, you will report into the Senior Manager, HR Business Partner and work with HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers to build custom recruitment strategies that attract and recruit the talent that we need to open the world to cannabis.
You will support our Corporate Division with recruiting top talent in different specialities and levels across Aurora from individual contributor to senior leadership roles in areas such as IT, Science and Innovation, Finance and Accounting and more! As the Talent Acquisition Specialist you will…
  • Partner with staffing agencies for niche positions and gather market intelligence to help shape and drive talent acquisition strategies, decisions, and compensation ranges for open roles
  • Provide recruitment status reporting to build KPIs and metrics to demonstrate progress and measures of success for talent acquisition
  • Develop and continuously improve talent acquisition processes, documents and guides to ensure the ultimate candidate experience
  • Perform full-cycle recruitment activities by facilitating intake meetings, creating and posting jobs, conducting pre-screens, scheduling interviews, performing reference checks, preparing and extending offers, leading negotiations and assisting with onboarding activities
  • Expand support to Operations Recruitment to assist with high-volume and manufacturing talent acquisition activities
  • Develop custom recruitment strategies that leverage the Aurora employee value proposition to attract top talent in competitive markets through various internal and external channels
  • Work closely with Hiring Managers and HRBPs to foster internal talent mobility and facilitate internal competitions
  • Support employer branding initiatives to advance corporate purpose, values, culture and talent retention strategies
  • Facilitate training for people leaders and HR team members to ensure consistent and inclusive hiring practices
  • Assist Hiring Managers and HRBPs on talent selection by building strong relationships, understanding business needs, designing custom interview guides and in-basket activities, and evaluating candidate competencies
  • Build diverse talent pipelines by sourcing and passively recruiting candidates through multiple channels and outlets
You will be setup for success if you have…
  • Post-secondary education, such as a Bachelor’s Degree, in HR, Business, or related field (we would also welcome an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience recruiting in fast-paced environments for various specialties, divisions and levels
  • A solid understanding of employment laws and applicant tracking systems (SuccessFactors preferred)
