Tactical - Mall Security Supervisor

Regal Security Inc. is currently seeking a Supervisor – Tactical Security Guard at

one of its locations in the Welland, ON area.

The Ideal Candidate must have:

• Full-time availability to work all days of the week and schedules that will consist

of days, afternoons and weekend shifts – including holidays.

• Customer service-driven individual
• Professional physical deportment and presentation
• Decision Making, Reliable, Common Sense, and exceptional judgment
• Detailed and thorough record-keeping (Memo book, incident reports, etc.)
• Clear English communication skills in all areas (verbal and written)
• Keen observation and attentiveness
• Able to work as a team member and assist in leading other team members

accordingly

• Firm understanding of the Trespass to Property Act and Criminal Code of

Canada

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding and personalized customer service as a front-line

representative of Regal Security

• Assist in maintaining up to date training, while providing motivation and

mentoring to site security team while ensuring all staff are meeting company standards

• Operate Regal patrol vehicle for the purposes of exterior site and parking
• Provide input to maintain up to date policies, manuals and plans for the site

patrolling and for vehicle fuel up and maintenance

• Report all incidents, onsite activities, interactions and service challenges to the

Security Manager

• Ensure all site staff are properly trained on site protocols and ensure training

documentation is completed

• Evaluate and oversee employee performance and coach as necessary.

Reporting any infractions and/or performance issues to the Security Manager

• Review daily and incident reports for compliance with spelling, grammar and

details for submission to client and Regal Security.

• Develop and maintain a positive professional relationship with tenants,

customers, emergency services and other agencies as they relate to the site.

• Enforce property rules and regulations and including the Trespass to Property
• Operate and maintain an organized, professional environment
• Assist accordingly with building and maintaining the site security team schedule.

Act in order to maintain the security and safety of our clients and their assets

• Respond to all emergency situations (service calls, medical emergencies,
• Actively Monitor CCTV, fire systems, and access systems
• Oversee the logging in and out of site equipment

building situations, etc.)

• Ensure that safety and emergency protocols are completed in response to Fire

Alarms and other Site Emergencies

• Complete walking patrols, vehicle patrols, and inspections of facilities and

equipment and report any hazards, deficiencies, etc. to ensure safety and

security

• Review, understand and follow post orders as identified for the represented

site representing

• Maintain a safe working environment and follow the facilities health and safety

procedures

• Duties as otherwise assigned by the Security Manager/Senior Management

Team

Qualifications:

• A proven background with minimum of 2 years security experience in a commercial

setting.

• Previous Supervisory experience in a Security related setting would be an asset
• A University degree and/or College diploma in a relevant field (Police Foundations,
• Use of Force Certification would be an asset
• Demonstrated Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Protections Security and Investigation, Criminology etc…)

• Valid Security Guard Licence, Valid First Aid / CPR Certification &AED Certification, &

WHMIS Certification, Valid Class G Drivers Licence.

• Strong investigation, research, and strategic analytical skills.
• Holder of a valid G Driver’s License
• Strong administration, project management, and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Computer literacy and proficiency required, Strong working skills with IOS, Windows
• Adapts well to challenges and works well under pressure.

Devices, Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook) and Google Software with

good working skills in Apple products, Microsoft Office, and Google

Compensation:

• Pay rate will be $19.00 /hr
• Health Benefits are available for full-time employees upon completion of 3

months probation
