Job Description

As our System Administrator at Coconut Software, you will play a pivotal role in laying the foundation and administering solutions in IT Operations! Reporting to the Director of IT Operations, you will use your IT wizardry to help build and maintain our internal IAM architecture, manage our fleet of MacOS and SaaS assets, provide next level support to our lovely bunch of Coconuts and really, make it all tick like clockwork.

You’re Excited To


Owning and Administering Coconut Software’s IT Tool Stack

  • Be the SME for our core software apps (Google Workspace, Atlassian, Slack, Zoom, and Hexnode). As well as manage hardware assets (laptops, keyboards, monitors, and etc)
  • Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance
  • Build and deploy security policies and scripts for our fleet of MacOS devices through our MDM solution
  • Create and manage system permissions and user accounts across a wide variety of SaaS tools

Helping Support Our Team of Coconuts

  • Assist with troubleshooting and technical support for our Canada-wide team of Coconuts
  • Provide remote support for local area networks and conference equipment in our Canadian offices
  • Interface with teams across the organization to help with department-specific implementations

Participating in Planning and Architecture

  • Seek to understand gaps in internal technical processes and work with stakeholders to develop solutions that drive efficiencies across the organization
  • Conceptualize and execute on new ways to improve IAM architecture and ensure scalability
  • Assist in requirements gathering, articulate updates, and subscribe to a customer first approach for internal IT projects

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Customer service mindset (people first!) with a passion for serving and supporting our community
  • Experience working in / managing a primarily MacOS based environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of essential IT functions including network infrastructure, storage, servers, databases, cloud computing, ERP, disaster recovery, security, telecommunications, and vendor management
  • 3+ years of experience administering assets in a primarily SaaS based environment and implementing large information technology projects
  • Expert understanding of Identity Management and Access Control
