Position: Surveyor-Nuclear Construction

Location: Pinawa, MB

Type of Employment: Fulltime-Contract

Duration: 12+month

We are looking for a Surveyor to help us expand our presence with our clients in the Nuclear Industry. We seek Project Professionals who will align with our corporate mission, vision & values:

Role & Responsibilities:

· Surveying.

· Leads planning effort.

· Accountable for hitting Project Milestone.

· Ensure the Project meets all technical and quality requirements of the contract documents.

· Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with the standards, design, procedures, and contract specifications.

· Responsible for maintaining daily records and accounting for changes, extras, additional work.

· Responsible for the efficient progress of the work and untimely job site accountability for each project, including budget controls, ensuring the project meets intended construction schedules/ target dates, job site efficiencies, coordination with Project Management and Supervision, tracking and identifying items of extra work/changes, review job cost to ensure compliance with estimate, final clean up and turnover.

· Perform necessary layout of underground, civil structures, environmental and marine works.

· Calibrate and repair GPS/Total Station machine controls.

· Conduct grade checks as needed.

· Prepare CAD files and 3D models to facilitate construction layout.

· Complete quantity take-offs as required.

· Manage and update construction drawings and specifications, including as-builts.

· Support Project management to administer schedules.

· Participate in Project meetings with internal and external parties.

· Support Project management in budgeting, cost control and billing activities.

· Assist with additional Project-related works, if required.

· Effectively written and oral communication with clients and project representatives.

Qualifications:

· 3+ years of Surveying experience

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Must have excellent Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving skills.

· Must have excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.

· A proven leader, highly motivated to the overall success of assigned projects.
