- Associate App Directory Strategist

What you will be doing:

Operational, review, and support services for developers submitting to the App Directory. Includes the following:

• Building a good understanding of what it means to build a high quality app
• Assisting with developer comms as part of routine quality/security audits
• Answering/escalating support requests from App Directory developers
• Triaging incoming submissions for priority and to make sure they are prepared for review
• Conducting thoughtful, comprehensive technical and user experience reviews of apps submitted to the App Directory

What you should have:

• You have experience working in customer or developer support, or a similar role
• You enjoy diving into a new app or service to thoroughly test it out, troubleshooting and reproducing issues
• You are curious and love learning new skills and knowledge, even when it feels challenging
• You are comfortable working as part of a team as well as independently
• You are a strong and confident writer
• You know when something is over your head and are not afraid to ask for help
• You understand the web and how it works, including standard API patterns. You're not necessarily writing and deploying your own JQuery-based, CSS-heavy responsive sites, but you're also not afraid of the technology and are eager to learn.

Top 3-5 skill sets that would make a candidate stand out from the rest?

• Excellent writing skills. This doesn't just mean solid grammar and spelling but also encompasses voice, tone, and the ability to express sometimes complex technical concepts in an empathetic and clear way.
• An understanding of the web and how it works, including standard API patterns. They're not necessarily writing and deploying their own web services, but they're also not afraid of the technology and are eager to learn.
• Comfortable working with autonomy as part of a globally distributed team.
• Experience working in SaaS customer or developer support.
