Sr. Test Specialist (Lead)

IT Business Solutions – Life & Health delivers business value through the management of technology solutions for Munich Re's Life and Health (L&H) businesses globally.

The Application Testing Manager performs a variety technical responsibility in the testing of systems. You will perform a variety of administrative, and technical responsibilities related to the assurance of the quality of our products and projects, serving as a subject matter expert on existing production applications. Experience in industry knowledge will allow you to help shape the direction of the testing team and processes. You will report to the Regional Head of IT Solution Delivery (Americas), Business Solutions L&H and be an important technology partner to application product managers, project managers, and partners.

Your Role:

• Provide subject matter expertise in troubleshooting issues with systems and conveying that to product development teams.
• Participate in design and testing sessions across teams
• Help create requirements for system enhancements or defect resolutions
• Produce reliable assessments of software readiness
• Work hands-on to document and implement test cases to support new product / project enhancements
• Lead regression and performance testing of existing solutions
• Oversee application testing analysts and provide direction on testing tools, test case/plan documentation, and oversee the execution of test plans
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations for product designs
• Help implement automated testing solutions for operational efficiencies

Your profile:

• Work collaboratively in a team environment
• Familiarity with waterfall and Agile methodologies and processes
• Familiarity with testing methodologies, test case documentation and execution of custom developed applications
• University degree in Computer Science / Engineering or similar qualification.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience with SQL Server, .NET, HL7, C-CDA, XML and stylesheets
• 7 years of experience managing testing team members and execution of test plans
• Technical experience with query-based database tools and relational SQL databases
• Technical experience in software platforms such as Windows and Linux
