Position Title: Sr. HR and Recruiting Associate

Reports To: Sr. Human Resources Manager, (US)



Description:



The Recruiter is responsible for the full cycle of recruitment in all areas of the CS e-STROAGE business including but not limited to development, engineering, project implementation, commissioning, service, finance, and general administrative. The role will be required to partner up with department managers in determining recruitment needs, posting, pre-screen, interview, reference and finalize job offers for jobs required, working in a professional manner that reflects the Company’s core values.





Responsibilities:




Recruiting and Onboarding:




  • Consult with leaders, hiring managers and the human resources team on position descriptions, requisition creation, compensation, and sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct.
  • Support key recruitment initiatives, related but not limited to employer branding, process improvements, ATS implementation and enhancements, as well as other aspects focused on improving results, increasing efficiency, and driving employee retention.
  • Coordinate with HR team and hiring managers regarding start dates and on-boarding.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
  • Responsible for Talent Acquisition projects, for instance, Onboarding, Internship Projects, SuccessFactors system, Market Mapping, etc.
  • Develop a robust candidate pipeline.
  • Coordinate and participate in interviews with the hiring manager, using behavioral based interviewing.
  • Maintain and update all current contracts for temporary and Independent Consultants
  • Prepare and present offer letters, while facilitating and/or managing the negotiations process
  • Acting as Talent Acquisition business partner working closely with department heads to find qualified candidates, working within timelines for customer needs.
  • Represent the company at recruiting events (i.e., college job fairs), providing company/job information and interviewing applicants.
  • Adhere to SOX requirements for hiring requests and approvals for hire.
  • Follow up with all candidates considered for any role.
  • Completion of other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Forecast industry trends, anticipating movements in the market, the interests of consumers, and the efficiency of our business itself, and advise leadership accordingly.
  • Negotiate and maintain all Agency agreements with the assistance of Legal.
  • Ability to improve processes and tools.



General Human Resources:




  • Completion of other HR duties and projects as assigned.
  • Maintain ongoing compliance with federal, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies.
  • Administering and updating company policies specific to Canada.
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct.
  • Assist in HR administrative functions such as ordering and distributing swag for new hires in Canada.



Performance management, Employee Engagement and Training




  • Work with Leaders and Employees to ensure completion of forms by troubleshooting and assisting through the process/system.
  • Conduct employee engagement survey.
  • Assist in new office setup.
  • Assist Training and Development Manager with organizing the training for e-Storage entities.
  • Support the performance management cycle from goal setting to annual performance working closely with the US HR team.



Qualifications and Experience:


  • Excellent time management skills and able to juggle multiple tasks as needed.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field.
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail required. Literacy in other HR applications, such as SAP SuccessFactors preferred.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, confidentially, diplomatically, and professionally always.
  • Able to travel as required as needed.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Able to work flexible hours as required.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a recruitment role, preference given to construction and renewable background.
  • Demonstrated knowledge related to regulations, laws, and policies.
