The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all things marketing related at Rock Solid Productions. Being a relatively small team, this position requires a self-motivated, independent, and reliable candidate that is able to handle a wide variety of tasks. The position is home-based and preferably located in the GTA. Vehicle access is required for travel to meetings and events from time to time. National and international travel may also occur periodically. The position requires an outgoing and confident individual as interaction with clients and the public feature heavily.

The Marketing Manager (Sport) will be responsible for management of our overall marketing strategy, including:

Social Media

• Content creation for all brands across multiple platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
• Support of the sales team with lead and traffic generation
• Community management
• Management of analytics
• Continued development of strategy
• Development and implementation of paid advertising campaigns including strategy, creative, and copy

Email

• Provide analytics and ensure marketing always follows industry policies and best practices
• Create content and automations
• Implementation and management of email marketing campaigns
• Write and distribute quarterly newsletters including all company updates

Communications

• Development of media releases, partner reports, print ads, and other marketing materials
• Content editing of marketing materials and documents, including grant application copy
• Deck/presentation building (sales and consulting)

Web/Digital

• E-commerce experience is an asset
• Create Google Ads campaigns
• Assist with site updates and content creation
• Use Google Analytics to inform strategy and marketing decisions
• Create blog posts (SEO knowledge is a bonus)

• Experience with a wide variety of digital marketing channels and tools
• Energetic and enthusiastic
• Driver’s license and clean driving abstract
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Google Suite proficient
• Passion for sport, and specifically the sport of curling is a large asset
• Ability to work independently
• Degree in marketing, communications or similar
• Strong communication skills
• 5-10 years experience in a similar role(s)
