Solutions Architect (Fully Remote)

WHAT WILL THIS CANDIDATE ACCOMPLISH ON A HIGH LEVEL?

• New business unit
• Cloud native web application being built and resold to their customers
• Consulting group is building out the pilot project
• Architecture will have to be copied over and over for all customers

MUST HAVES

• 3+ years of Azure Web Solution/Application Architecture experience, with at least 1 recent project being built from scratch (no previous application)
• API and Security design experience
• Azure Functions and Azure App Services

PLUSSES

• Certifications
• Security design tools' Active Directory, CIAM, and Azure Key Vaults
• Past experience with React Typescript, Node.JS, SQL, and Docker

DAY-TO-DAY

• The person will be working with the consulting team reviewing the code
• Guiding overall application development
• Moving a few things into the cloud that are on-prem (10%), but mostly doing native builds
• Making sure it's configured correctly, and the right protocols are in place for security
• 90% of this role is greenfield, brand new cloud development architecture

Responsibilities of the Role

• Provide technical leadership, and guidance to teams during development, and implementation phase.
• Articulate thoughtful recommendations around cost optimization & security of cloud workloads.
• Provide solutions / options for application migrations from on-prem to Azure Cloud
• Deliver high-impact proof of concept demos to evaluate alternative architectures.
• Provide advanced consulting and guidance at the most complex level of application architecture.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and senior management, supplying key input for architecture design decisions, work estimation and resource planning.
• Create high-quality frameworks and patterns used by developers to create solutions in a systematic, controlled, and efficient manner.
• Provide technical guidance to application development of vendor partners.
• Engage Cloud Ops teams for the advancement of Azure services

The Qualifications and Experience Required

• Experience working with agile and distributed environment
• Azure Solution Architect certified.
• Demonstrated experience providing solutions in Fintech Domain
• Regarded as thought leaders in domains of expertise, natural technical leadership ability and stays ahead of current industry & technology trends
• Experience owning/leading a design development project
• 3+ years solutioning (hands-on) various Azure Platform services - including but not limited to: Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus & Event Grid), Compute services (container services, AKS), Applications (web Apps, Service fabric), Azure functions, Azure SQL Database, SQL Server IaaS, firewalls, Azure Monitor and Application Insights, ADO
• Demonstrated experience with test driven development and related tools (NUnit, CruiseControl.NET, TeamCity, NCover)
• Strong knowledge & ability to collaborate on infra services (Compute, storage, networking) as needed for solution
• Experience with an APM suite (Dynatrace, DCRUM, Gomez) or similar applications
• Progressive experience in software engineering, design, architecture
• Expertise in discovering customer, business & technical requirements
• Proven deep implementation experience using REST architecture style, DevOps automation, Big Data ecosystems
