Software Development Manager Jobs

Our Client, one of North America's most experienced submetering providers, is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager with strong knowledge in the system development life cycle process and procedure, to lead a team of developers to assess current applications code in legacy and new cloud services.
What You Will Do

• Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes and opportunities.
• Ensure security and compliance of code development and ensure code security reviews are performed.
• Maintain all documentation related to the application code development , including technical specifications, user manuals, and release notes
• Participate in Agile projects and lead in both business and IT project work/tasks, as required.
• Develop designs of software applications to meet the needs of the business and its users.
• Understanding of meter data in utilities and ability to design programs to integrate and interface meter systems using Azure Data Bricks , Data Lake , Power BI . Develop API and integrations with meter systems, Itron, TapWatch , Inovonics , Triacta, Quadlogic and other meter systems.
• Provide dashboards, metrics, and KPIs within the development team and report weekly
• Submission of IT changes to change board for approvals within infrastructure, security, service management.
• Collaborate and understand needs and requirements, and to communicate the status and progress of development
• Understand Customer and Billing systems integrations , Website Portals , middleware , SFTP , scripting , powershell , SQL database

What You Will Bring

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• A Computer Science University Degree from a recognized institution
• Must have experience in software application life cycle development, reporting and data management.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful software development experience.
• Demonstrated skill in SDLC , Agile
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud computing including application and system integration Microsoft Azure , Visual Studio , .Net, Java , DevOps , AWS
• Ability to quickly learn new business functionality and technology.
• Certification in Microsoft Azure development an asset
