Duties
- Manage the site's budget and financial performance, including forecasting, time management, resource planning, and rotation plan, tracking expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Previous experience on managing Foundation Field Bus interfaces, segments, device management and interoperability.
- Serves as Yokogawa’s primary contact and focal point to the EPC/Customer during the site execution phase; i.e., provides interface between Yokogawa and the EPC/Customer, involves other Yokogawa personnel as appropriate; prepares all required reports; arranges joint Yokogawa/EPC/customer project meetings; ensures customers are aware of evolving system characteristics; resolves any miscommunication; ensures customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Develops and oversees site completion and site mobilization plan; i.e. ensures integrity of final system; conformance to contractual requirements, system acceptance by customer, delivery of specified system documentation and services; controls expenses and defines completion plans for personnel; ensures orderly transfer of project to Customer Service for long-term support; responsible for archiving project records, documentation, system tapes, and transfer of customer-accepted system with required documentation for warranty services and maintenance.
- Should understand latest in Yokogawa technology including ADSuite, NIO System.
- Train, mentor, and manage a team of employees, including providing ongoing coaching and feedback to support employee development and career growth.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of Yokogawa control, safety systems, EXAOPC, Plant Information Management System (PIMS-EXAQUANTUM), commissioning aspects, Site Acceptance test (SAT) process and procedures, Integrated Site Acceptance test (ISAT), loop checking, Dry functional testing (DFT) of equipment, instruments, drives connected through Yokogawa system, logic testing, commissioning using Plant Resource Manager (PRM), InSightSuite(iSAE), ExaPilot etc.
- Manages all project planning; i.e., works with customer and project team to clearly define scope and ensure clarity of project technical schedule and budget requirements, performs billing and cash flow planning, manpower loading models; implementation plan with time lines, ensures complete understanding of customer needs by key personnel, shares information with team members; responsible for developing and maintaining required project records. Maintains consistent updates of project plan, budget and schedule.
- Stays abreast of technical changes and trends in the assigned market industry and applies new knowledge to duties as appropriate.
- Has experience of network solutions including Cybersecurity, Network monitoring, Active directory, Antivirus and Buck-up and Recovery systems.
- Collaborate with EPC to ensure that the site is operating efficiently and meeting client set goals.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the LNG facility's commissioning and startup, including planning, quality control, and safety.
- Responsible for contract growth through change order management and development of customer relationships to broaden/expand scope of work based on customer’s needs or expectations.
- Responsibilities includes managing a team of site personnel, including contractors and sub-contractors, ensure that they have the necessary skills and tools to complete their tasks effectively, and that they comply with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure that the site is in compliance with all applicable safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Responsible for contract compliance, including all terms/conditions scope, financial, insurance, etc. Responsible for improving cash position of each contract within terms/cancellations of contract.
- Planning and coordination of site activities including responsibilities related to site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Yokogawa automation systems. This includes developing schedules, allocating resources, and managing site logistics.
- Maintains awareness of project progress; i.e., addresses any problems on a timely basis; conducts project progress meetings; attends selected design reviews and code walk-throughs; monitors progress vs. plan; provides status reports to manager and customer; ensures change orders are properly quoted, negotiated and executed; assures execution is in accordance with unit procedures and proper methodologies.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards related to the manufacturing industry.
- Education: MBA or BS in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation Engineering or similar degree is required, or 15 years equivalent experience.
- Must be on site location (British Columbia, Canada) for extended period of time on job assignment, maintain a rapport with customer representatives, and be dedicated to quality, service, productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control processes.
- Prior Experience: Twelve plus (12+) years in digital process control systems integration, with prior experience to have included major management of engineering/technical staff.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team of employees.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Must have at least 10-15 years’ experience in Instrument and Control Design and Implementation, using procedures and standards of a typical Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company. Experience in field design and installation, site surveys, P & ID reviews, and construction management is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address operational challenges.
