The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Fall 2023 REAL 427 LEC 01 on Thursday from 18:30-21:15.

Classes in the Fall 2023 semester run from September 5, 2023 to December 6, 2023. Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place between Saturday, December 9, 2023 to Wednesday, December 20, 2023, if applicable.
The calendar description of the course:
Introduction to the instruments, techniques, and institutions of real estate finance, sources of funds and mortgage risk analysis. Residential and commercial real estate contracting fundamentals are also covered. Examination of the risk and rewards when investing in and financing both commercial and residential real estate deals. Concepts include investment, financing, site analysis, appraisals, lending, and management of real estate portfolios and corporate real estate.
Qualifications
  • MBA degree or equivalent and work experience in the field are desirable.
  • Experience in programs such as Zoom, D2L and other digital education products would be an asset.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have experience providing instruction online in a post secondary setting.
  • Previous post secondary teaching experience is a requirement.
