General Description

The IT Program Manager Level 3 is accountable for the successful completion of multiple high-risk IT projects safely, with quality, within budget and on time by leading cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams and applying project management principles.

Experience and Role Accountabilities

• A minimum six (6) years of program management experience or equivalent and a minimum of twelve (12) years of project management experience.

• Provide strategic direction to project managers by defining the project scope, developing project guidelines, and managing the overall schedule, cost, risks, issues, and quality of the assigned projects to support the achievement of the program objectives.

• Lead the planning and implementation of technology projects by facilitating the program steering committee, monitoring project benefits, resources, and status, and reviewing and approving documents so that the projects are implemented as planned.

• Validate risk mitigation plans, resolve program issues, create required documentation such as business cases/EAR documents, and communicate updates to program stakeholders so that expectations are clear across the organization.

• Maintain meaningful relationships with program stakeholders through regular open communication using excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills enabling timely progression of projects.

• Manage the planning and development of all program communication by determining communication requirements, timing, and methodologies so that program information is delivered accurately and on time.

• Establish and maintain project governance standards for implementation and monitoring using excellent analytical skills and a comprehensive knowledge of project management practices and procedures to optimize project resources.

• Provide ongoing guidance and expertise to project managers in handling multiple and complex project issues to contribute to the standardization of processes and continuous improvement of program management capabilities.

Education and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, Economics, or related discipline

• Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation or equivalent, preferred

• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)

• Excellent communication skills for professional environment, written and spoken

Work Assignment Requirements:

• 10+ years of SAP implementation experience

• Experience in business operations in plant maintenance in a utilities environment is a very strong asset

• 5+ full project lifecycle (blueprint to go-live) implementations as a Project Manager

• 5+ years of client management experience and strong communicator required

• Hands on functional experience in SAP Plant Maintenance

• Demonstrated ability to bring functional teams together for integrated efforts.

• Excellent team building skills.

• Familiar with SAP ASAP methodology.

• Familiarity with SAP Activate desirable.
