Senior Qa Analyst Jobs

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Application Services, the Sr. Quality Assurance analyst owns the test effort and system integration testing of medium-large scale projects involving multiple systems and provides support for the development of QA processes, methods, and tools. The incumbent contributes to QA analysts and others participating in the testing process and provides information on current technology and methods and identifies where the company can make use of them. The incumbent will work closely with Rexall cross-functional teams (BA, Dev, Architecture) to ensure quality is built-in to all stages of software development.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Work with PMO to define granular testing activities and schedule within project plan
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group ULC.
• Define QA workflow and procedures.
• Maintain technical documentation.
• Define and create test strategies for medium-large scale projects.
• Providing input to business analysis and development teams.
• Contribute to medium-large scale projects cost/time estimates.
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing of system components.
• Perform various phases of testing: Functional, Regression, Performance, Integration, Build testing.
• Define technical requirements (software, hardware, peripherals) for test lab environment.
• Define and create test plans/cases/scripts for various applications.
• Define and enforce QA standards.
• Attend project kick-off and periodic status meetings.
• Act as a backup for other QA team members
• Participate in early planning stages of medium-large scale projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Three (3) or more years as a QA analyst.
• Relevant knowledge of emerging technology
• Experience in retail systems an asset
• College Diploma/University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant discipline
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in relational databases/queries
• Proficient in test management tools, preferably HP Quality Centre
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies
• Experience testing with a variety of technologies, including (but not limited to): AS/400, PowerBuilder, .NET, XML, HL7, Java, client/server
• Proficient in test automation tools, such as Rational Robot
• Ability to deliver high-quality work within allotted timelines
• CSTE or CSQA certification preferred
• Keen analytical ability
• Excellent ability to prioritize tasks and manage time
• Relevant knowledge of merchandising and store systems
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
