Senior Project Manager

Provides project management of multiple large scale, complex, high profile and high-risk projects for Client IT initiatives. Ensures project deliverables meet clients' business requirements on time, scope and budget, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiencies and compliance utilizing Client’s project management methodologies and frameworks. Actively promote continuous improvement in Project Delivery Team processes, tools and technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Establishes and participates in steering committee and stakeholder forums. Provides, project, program, and/or portfolio reporting to multi-stakeholders at senior management levels.
• Gather and develop requirements to create and maintain a detailed project schedule and/or the overall integrated plan.
• Lead planning and execution of projects including funding gate requests.
• Articulates and prioritizes issues and risks at senior management levels and recommends mitigation strategies for decision makers.
• Develop complex project budgets based on multiple funding channels and dependencies.
• Proactively identify potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed.
• Effectively manages large project budgets and ensures a high level of fiscal control and accountability including estimates, forecasts, and reconciliation against actuals.
• Resolve resourcing and interpersonal conflicts, negotiates changes to resourcing, and ensures knowledge is shared amongst team members so that project objectives and deliverables are met.
• Uses appropriate strategies and actions to overcome resistance to change and capitalize on forces in support of change during all stages of projects - concept, definition, planning, implementation, and close-out.
• Promotes IT standards and best practices for project management to facilitate control of system quality, adherence to standard methodology and the control of the use of IT resources.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ Years' experience working closely with Business and Technology partners to create end to end project plans including staffing plans, business tasks and deliverables, clear scope definition, and associated assumptions and risks.
• Knowledge and understanding of Information Management (including record keeping) policies and practices.
• 5+ Years' experience monitoring and controlling multiple projects simultaneously.
• PMP certification.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Nice to have Utility or Manufacturing industry experience.
• 15+ Years' experience managing projects across the entire Development Life Cycle using waterfall and agile.
