What we are looking for
We are looking for the Senior Procurement Manager to analyze, organize, and improve procurement and sourcing processes as well as oversee logistics for GoodLeaf Farms with the goal of streamlining operations and reducing costs.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the VP, Operations, the Senior Procurement Manager will have the following key responsibilities:
Contract Management
- Develop and work within a formal framework to standardize and streamline contract preparation, negotiations, and contract renewals
- Create pre-approved boilerplate copy and templates to reduce need for legal department oversight and intervention during contract creation
- Improve strategic sourcing through data analysis and pursuing mutually beneficial opportunities with key suppliers
- Ensure GoodLeaf meets all contractual obligations, and all other parties meet theirs
- Reduce exposure to existing procurement, legal, and financial risks, while making it easier to create policies and contingencies to identify and reduce or eliminate new ones
- Lower expenses through optimization of the entire contract process
Utilization Management
- Manage and control products, services, and technologies' consumption, applications and use to ensure that they are being employed in the most efficient and cost effective manner
Vendor Strategy Development
- Evaluate GoodLeaf's supplier base
- Develop and use Supplier Performance Audits
- Establish Supplier Quality Requirements
- Assess supplier capabilities by evaluating supplier performance in three areas: delivery, quality, and price
- Meet with suppliers
- Plan and execute improvement activities
Spend Aggregation
- Centralize all procurement data within GoodLeaf Farms
- Streamline Communications and approvals to ensure there are no delays due to poor coordination or lack of understanding between departments
- Consolidate the supplier list to reduce the influx of invoices, associated accounting activities, and legal reviews, while improving purchase pricing and terms
Logistics
- Ensure that products, inventory, parts, or people move from one place to another efficiently and cost-effectively
Qualifications & Educational Requirements
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills
- Experience negotiating national contracts
- Experience overseeing logistics
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sourcing or Procurement
- Experience opening RFP's / RFQ's
- Experience working with an ERP, Sage X3 is an asset
- Experience managing Direct, Indirect, and MRO spend
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Business or Engineering). An MBA would be an asset
- Experience setting up inventory controls
