Senior PHP/Full-Stack Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior PHP/Full-Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, designers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for data exchange between client and server.
• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable backend systems for web applications.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to create seamless user experiences.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues to ensure optimal application performance.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Develop, integrate, and deploy cloud applications on platforms like AWS.
• Share knowledge and serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level developers.
• Distribute knowledge among team members to strengthen the team as a whole.
• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability and scalability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve development practices.
• Serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
• Actively participate in Agile Scrum methodology, contributing to sprint planning and delivering high-quality work within designated timelines.
• Build WebSocket backends for real-time communication and data streaming.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer.
• Capacity to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
• Strong mentoring and coaching abilities to assist junior developers.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Technical Skills

• Experience with version control systems like Git, collaborating with team members, and tracking changes effectively.
• Strong knowledge and experience in PHP, including familiarity with various frameworks especially Laravel.
• Proficiency in Node.js development and associated frameworks.
• Familiarity with mapping libraries such as Leaflet is a big plus
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience in using Docker and containerization to develop, manage, and deploy applications.
• Experience with project management and bug-tracking software such as JIRA.
• Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, including handling authentication, request/response formats (JSON/XML), and ensuring security.
• Experience with Linux/server administration is a plus
• Experience in implementing websocket backends for real-time applications.
• Solid understanding and experience in backend development concepts, such as server-side programming, database management, and API development.
• Experience in integrating third-party services.
• Knowledge and experience with Python is a big plus.
• Knowledge of cloud application development and deployment using platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Solid experience in working with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL, including designing schemas, writing optimized queries, and handling data efficiently.
