Today we are looking for a Senior Safety Manager to join our functional safety and certification office under the Autonomous Systems Business Line.
The functional safety and certification office provides support in all the phases of developing a functional safety relevant project, implying the usage of functional safety standards. The group is comprised of functional safety experts and professionals certified by TÜV. It is a multidisciplinary group with system, software, hardware, verification, safety and cybersecurity engineers to tackle any functional safety challenges from the Autonomous cars and Air Mobility industries.
Main responsibilities of the Senior Safety Manager will be to manage and contribute to functional safety projects for critical embedded systems, following ISO26262.
Responsibilities
As part of the senior leadership team of the Autonomous Systems Business Line.
  • Ensure profitability of the projects
  • Participate to the technical interviews to hire new employees
  • Responsible for internal and external reporting (main customer interface)
  • Manage all phases of the projects (kick-off, planning, execution, monitoring & control, and closure) while respecting contract mandate
  • Manage the technical team assigned to the functional safety projects
  • Participate with the Sales team to technical discussions with new prospects and contribute to quoting new projects
  • Participate to the strategy of the Autonomous Systems Business Line
  • Manage customer relationship, customer expectations and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Analyze and mitigate risks
  • Support the technical team in developing technical activities such as Hardware & Systems Safety Analysis (FMEA, FTA, DFA..) as well as documentation such as Item Definition, HARA, FuSa/TS concepts (asset)
  • Develop Gap Analysis for new customers or new projects
Qualifications
  • Masters of Engineering in a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of safety critical standards – ISO 26262, ARP 4754A, EN 50126, NF EN 50128, NF EN 50129
  • Expertise in functional safety technical development and project management
  • Deep knowledge of ISO 26262 (automotive standard)
  • Applicants must be located in Canada
