Job Description
As a key manager in the Resilience function, this role will provide assurance that the organization and our customers are protected if technology resources are unavailable due to an unforeseen disruption in alignment with the stated policy. The manager will provide leadership in coordinating, assessing, tracking, monitoring & communicating recovery environment requirements and contingency plans associated with the TR´s internal systems and the services and products provided to customers.


The ideal candidate will manage a small global team to drive and facilitate the planning, design, development, execution/testing, maintenance, documentation (using Fusion as the tool) and remediation of BC plans for the TR enterprise and business units, where required. This is all in support of TR’s wider Resilience objectives, which are being matured using an ISO 22301 framework.


About The Role


In this opportunity as Senior Manager, Business Continuity you will:


  • Design, build, implement, and improve a Business Continuity system that provides a scalable and sustainable framework to manage our Business Continuity capabilities.
  • Oversee the delivery of BIA training sessions for process and asset owners to better familiarize them of expectations and requirements.
  • Work with critical TR stakeholders to inform them of Business Continuity and its importance and be willing to provide advice to senior management on Business Continuity best practice.
  • Leverage BIA output to design new recovery strategies and refresh existing strategies for maintenance and resumption of operations to meet business requirements.
  • Work with the other teams in Risk and Compliance to drive efficiencies and risk mitigation capabilities across the Risk and Compliance organization.
  • Ensure consistent Business Continuity taxonomies and policies.
  • Support the Resilience function in enhancing its maturity in line with the functions Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Work together with Third-Party Risk to identify critical third-party vendors (leveraging BIA output) and begin to co-develop recovery strategies with vendors to support continuity of services.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of Business Impact Analyses and oversee their completion, working in partnership with process owners.
  • Willingness to lead a small, focussed team, and get the best out of them. Coach and mentor team members, and be responsible to proactively identify individual training needs, conduct performance reviews, and maintain a healthy team culture.
  • Plan, design and implement solutions to protect and enable corporate value, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Be prepared to support the enterprise-wide Crisis Management process when needed.


About You


You’re a fit for the role of Senior Manager, Business Continuity if your background includes:


  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders across the company including functional and product owners, risk, and security managers, enabling services partners and technology engineers, and building trusted-based relationships.
  • Experience working in environments undergoing change management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to autonomously set and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and influence within a matrix organization to achieve results.
  • Ability to “get things done”, solve problems and innovate in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Fusion, including process automation.
  • 10+ years of business continuity experience and 5+ years in a leadership role driving effective and sustainable business continuity programs.
  • Proven track record of driving results and building effective relationships with all levels of management.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities under demanding deadlines.
  • Technology fluency: Knowledge of PowerBI, Tableau and a good understanding of technology concepts such as AI, ML, RPA, and data science.
  • Proven track record of implementing global, enterprise-level business continuity frameworks in conjunction with business stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 22301.
  • Solid experience in creating, editing, and proofreading executive-level documentation and material.
  • A bachelor’s degree level in a relevant subject (e.g., Business Administration/Management, Economics, Finance, Technology, Innovation)
