The Work

The Sr. Infrastructure Security Engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise to support the security of the organization's infrastructure. This includes managing security tools, identifying vulnerabilities, and providing recommendations for remediation. Additionally, the candidate will lead efforts to automate security processes, implement configuration management, and develop infrastructure security processes. This position will be required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and to provide guidance to business stakeholders on security-related matters. Ultimately, the Sr. Infrastructure Security Engineer will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization's assets and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

The core parts of your role would be to:

• Keep up to date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities and assess their impact on the organization
• Implement and manage configuration management tools and processes across the organization's infrastructure to ensure consistent and secure configurations
• Manage the attack surface of Equitable Bank's infrastructure by identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating potential threats and vulnerabilities according to the organizations risk appetite
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including standards, technical security configurations and procedures
• Build and manage relationships with stakeholders across the organization to ensure effective communication and collaboration on infrastructure security matters
• Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve the automation and efficiency of vulnerability, attack surface, and configuration management processes
• Contribute to the development of the vulnerability management and attack surface management programs and processes
• Design, implement and operate security solutions for the following capabilities: vulnerability management; attack surface management; configuration management

Let’s Talk About You

• 5+ years of experience in information technology/information security
• Understanding and experience with PCI DSS, MITRE ATT&CK, BSIMM, NIST, ISO 27K series is an asset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in cloud environments is required
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a banking or financial services environment is an asset
• A college diploma or university degree is required. Higher accreditation (e.g. Bachelor of Computer Science) is preferred
• Experience in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or PowerShell to automate security functions is preferred
• The following certifications are preferred: CCSP, CCSK, CISM, CISSP, or CRISC
• Proven expertise in deploying and operating security infrastructure solutions

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 351 King Street East, Toronto, ON.
