Security Analyst (Network Infrastructure)

Role: Security Analyst (Network Infrastructure)

Location: *Remote (Able to work 24/7 call support after hours and on weekends)

*12 months contract + possibility of extensions!

Rate: 50-60 per hour INC (Incorporated)

Typical Day in Role:

• Support the current IPS infrastructure

• Assist with the current IPS migration project

• Manage, document, support current and new technologies

• On call support and after hours support is a must

• Identify security issues and risks and develop mitigation plans

• Develop and interpret security policies and procedures.

• Participate in security compliance efforts

• Develop and deliver training materials and perform general security awareness and specific security technology training

• Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies

• Working with Scotiabank change management and participate in change meetings

Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:

1. 8+ years of working experience as a Security Analyst in IT

2. 8+ years of experience in Network infrastructure, Firewalls and IPS

3. Worked within a large corporation and exposure to change control, compliance and working with auditors

4. Ability to provide 24x7 on call support after hours and on weekends

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Cisco or Fortinet firewalls/IPS is a strong asset

• Previous exposure to the banking industry/financial services is preferred

• CCNA/CCNP Certifications
